The third China-ASEAN Prosecutors-General Conference was convened in Jakarta, Indonesia from July 31-August 1, 2006. The theme of the conference was “promoting cooperation in combating transnational crimes”. Prosecutor General of P.R China, prosecutors general, attorneys general or deputy prosecutors general, deputy attorneys general courtesy from ASEAN member states paid a call on the former President of Indonesia H.E. Mr. Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono in the presidential palace. About 200 delegates from China and ASEAN member states attended the conference. During the conference, a joint declaration was signed by the attorneys general/deputy attorneys general and prosecutors general/deputy prosecutors general. The conference called on procuratorial organs from China-ASEAN member states giving full play to their respective procuratorial functions, improving law enforcement cooperation to combat transnational crimes effectively.
