Mr. Liang Yi, Chief Prosecutor of the People’s Procuratorate of Baise City of Guangxi, China welcomed Mr. Le Minh Long，Chief Prosecutor of the Procuracy of Cao Bang Province of Vietnam and the other delegates at Jingxi City.

In order to carry out the spirit of First Session of Sino-Vietnam Border Areas Prosecution Services Regular Meetings, prosecutors from border areas headed by Mr. Liang Yi, Chief Prosecutor of the People’s Procuratorate of Baise City, Guangxi, China and Mr. Le Minh Long，Chief Prosecutor of the Procuracy of Cao Bang Province of Vietnam held the first judicial cooperation and exchange meeting at border city Jingxi of Guangxi from December 19th to 20th, 2017.

 

The purpose of this meeting is to fully implement the spirit of the MoU on strengthening direct cooperation between the border areas prosecution services of both countries which signed by the Supreme People’s Procuratorate of China and its Vietnamese counterpart. Moreover, the meeting also aimed to strengthen judicial assistance between Baise and Cao Bang, advance judicial exchange and cooperation, and joint hands to fright trans-border crimes so as to maintain regional peace and stability.  

Participants also discussed and exchanged views on identify verification, transfer of illegal and goods related to trans-border crimes activities, such as illegally cross the border, smuggling, drug trafficking, trafficking women and children. Both sides reached consensuses on furthering combat trans-border crimes, strengthening cooperation and establishing communication and assistance.

China and Vietnam are neighbors linked by mountains and rivers, and partners cherish the same ideals and follow the same path. In the future, both sides will continue to consolidate friendship, strengthen communication and deepen exchanges in the spirit of good neighborly friendship and comprehensive cooperation. The prosecution services of both sides should actively carry out the functions of the procuratorial organs and jointly combat all kinds of transborder criminal activities, so as to contribute to the friendly relations between the two countries.
