An opening ceremony of the seminar for the Vietnamese senior prosecutors was held in the China-ASEAN Prosecutors Exchange and Training Base on 2nd November, 2018. Mr. Zhou Hongbo, Vice President of National Prosecutors College of P.R.C, Mr. Meng Yaojun, Deputy Chief Prosecutor of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and Mr. Nguyễn Văn Hải, Director General of Investigation Supervision Department for Drug Crime of the Supreme People's Procuratorate of Vietnam, addressed the opening ceremony.

    Mr. Zhou Hongbo said that the Supreme People's Procuratorate of Vietnam sent 25 senior prosecutors to Guangxi to attend the seminar on the occasion which marked the 15th Anniversary of China-ASEAN Strategic Partnership. This is not only the implementation of the Joint Declaration of the 11th China-ASEAN Prosecutors-General Conference, but also an important fruit of mutual trust and cooperation between the Sino-Vietnamese prosecution services. The friendly relationship between the prosecution services of the two sides will definitely be consolidated and further developed through this seminar. Mr. Zhou hoped both sides to learn successful experience from each other, further improve cooperation in judicial and procuratorial areas, and play a positive role in fighting transnational crimes so as to maintain the economic and social stability.

    Mr. Meng Yaojun extended his warmly welcome to the delegation, and briefed them on the prosecution services of Guangxi, the National Prosecutors College Guangxi Branch as well as the China-ASEAN Prosecutors Exchange and Training Base. He also invited the delegation to participate in the 4th Sports Games of Guangxi prosecution services. He hoped that the two sides would take this seminar as an opportunity to strengthen exchanges, learn from each other and promote mutual development.
